Exhibition Information

Indoor and outdoor sculpture exhibitions with be installed in
Farmville, VA from September 29 - November 3, 2001, in conjunction with the
Fall TSS Conference. There will be a catalog of the exhibition.

The indoor sculpture exhibit will be in the Longwood Center for the
Visual Arts galleries. The galleries are open and spacious, and
participants may choose to bring one large (up to 8' high - no wider than
8') piece or 2 smaller works. The art center also has a variety of
pedestals available. The LCVA will insure the artworks under its fine arts
policy against all risks of physical loss or damage from external cause
while on location during the period of the loan. Work for the indoor
exhibit must be delivered between Sept. 4 and Sept. 8 and must be picked up
between Nov. 4 and Nov. 10.

The outdoor exhibition will be installed on approximately 2 acres
of open lawn in front of the Prince Edward County Middle School. This is a
high visibility area, located in the cluster of county-wide public schools
and just off Rts. 15 & 460. The field is not commonly crossed by
pedestrians, although there is room for visitors to park and walk around.
There is a guard from the sheriff's office on duty each night. Exhibitors
are responsible for insuring their work.
All of the outdoor sculpture must be installed on Sept. 7 or Sept.
8, and may be picked up Nov. 4 or 5. Sculptors will be responsible for
installing their work in a secure way, and must leave the area as little
disturbed as possible. There will be some help in terms of "strong arms"
available.
