Greetings fellow sculptors! A number of exciting
programs are planned for the October 2002 gathering of Philadelphia
Sculptors and Tri-State Sculptors Guild in Philadelphia. The technology
in the arts activities will be supported by a grant from Verizon
Communications, secured by Leslie Kaufman of Philadelphia Sculptors.
Our keynote speaker, Lily Yeh, is an internationally celebrated
artist and award winning Executive Director of the Village of
Arts and Humanities in North Philadelphia.
Michael Taylor, Assistant Curator of Modern and
Contemporary Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art will give a
presentation on Philadelphias thriving arts community and
outstanding museums and galleries. There will also be panels and
discussion sessions which will encourage the exchange of information
and ideas.
Sessions will take place at both Moore College of
Art and Design and University of the Arts, both in Center City
Philadelphia.
A reduced conference fee rate of $60 will be available
for early registration (by August 1) and some of the significant
dates related to the indoor exhibit are:
Slides due- June 15 / Installation- October 6 / Deinstallation
-October 25.
